Creator and producer of Flash Lights Project, for many years DJ Petrenka has been a propagandist of exclusive electronic music in Russia. Frequent guest of such a-la-mode projects as Phubriq and Stylish Night and participant of Red Devil DJ Battle, DJ Petrenka is a “must-have” for any hip electronic music event in Russia today. From underground basements to radio shows and major stages, he created a rich, quality, and unique sound combining roots of old-school techno with American jazz and Motown classics while mixing in dazzling Russian flavor and strong technique.
This year, DJ Petrenka became a Featured DJ of on Elixir radio show (StarNet FM), where host Andrew Gorn presents the most exclusive music and interviews with world-famous DJs, producers, and collectives such as Christopher Goze (France), Vargo (Germany), Fous De La Mer (Spain), Zero Cult (Israel), and Cantoma (UK).
Permanent resident of Cafe Gliase in Moscow, Russia, DJ Petrenka has performed in such venues as Depeche Mode Bar, Pyramida Cafe BAR, Yalla Club, Bianco Lazy Lounge, and Polly Sad Cafe.
Recently signed by Monochrome Sound Laboratory, DJ Petrenka is entering an era of new and continuous projects and collaborations. While expanding Flash Lights Project and continuing to produce Stylish Night, he is creating a new electronic POD-cast radio station, recording a promo album and has just been invited to be a guest DJ at Detroit Fringe Festival 2008 in Detroit, USA.
